Battle for Betsy is a non-profit organization in the Cedar Valley, established in 2020 in honor of Elizabeth “Betsy” McDougall.
Our fundraising efforts support the Longest Day Alzheimer's Association. Fundraising activities include a yearly four-person best shot golf tournament, silent auction, raffle, and t-shirt sales.
Our committee, comprised of close family and friends, work tirelessly to reach our goals each year.

About Our Event
To coincide with the summer solstice, our annual event is held in June. The summer solstice represents the longest day of the year, the day in which we fight the darkness of Alzheimer's and all other forms of dementia.
Our annual event includes a 4-person best shot golf tournament at the Jesup Golf Course, online silent auction, raffle, and merchandise sales. This year, 2025, will be our first year to offer morning and afternoon golf times.
